When Does SoundExchange Pay Royalties?

There is a delay of 3 to 5 months before you will actually receive your payment for those spins.

Quarterly Payments

The default payment method involves quarterly checks:

• January–March spins → Paid end of June
• April–June spins → Paid end of September
• July–September spins → Paid end of December
• October–December spins → Paid end of March

For example, a song spinning in March receives payment at the end of June. April spins are paid at the end of September.

Monthly Payments

Artists can opt for monthly direct deposits with a three-month delay:

• January spins → Paid end of April
• February spins → Paid end of May
• March spins → Paid end of June

With monthly payments, March spins are paid by end of June, and April spins arrive by end of July.

Complete the SoundExchange Direct Deposit form and send it along with a voided check to accounts@soundexchange.com.
